The CT Tecnova has developed various initiatives during 2018 within the framework of the Regional Operational Groups, financed by the Andalusian Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, with EAFRD funding.
Co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the Andalusian Government, through the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development.
The Regional Operational Groups in which the center is involved refer to various topics such as irrigation management, application of IoT technologies, and improvement in the efficiency of the use of natural resources. CT Tecnova has worked on projects of the three financing sub-measures for this type of association.
Regional Operational Group L1- “ICT TOOLS FOR INTELLIGENT LABELING OF SUSTAINABLE FRUIT PRODUCTION – e-TIC4FOOD”
Tecnova TC is participating together with HISPATEC, CAPARROS NATURE and PITA, in the development of the Project whose goal is to respond to the demands of the most social consumer and is committed to the protection of the environment through an innovative solution of intelligent labelling for fruit and vegetable products in order to offer added value to the market.
Regional Operational Group L2- “INNOVATION IN CULTIVATION AND TRANSFORMATION ADAPTED TO CLIMATE CHANGE – PACANO”
Tecnova TC is participating together with GDR VALLE DEL GUADALHORCE, Pecan del Sur S.L., José Miguel Guzmán and Juan Carlos Pérez González, IFAPA Churriana Centre, the Málaga Centre, the Málaga Confectioners Association and Dolores Solís Morales are also collaborating on the Project.
Its purpose is to consolidate the implementation of a Pacan crop in Andalusian fruit growing. An agro-economic, environmental and social study of the oldest plantations will be carried out and this information will be passed on to the agrobusiness sector, as a posible viable alternative.
The outcome of the application of these technologies will be new healthy cakes and pastries, as part of a commitment to the creation of new heart-healthy products, thus enchancing their added value.

Tecnova is participating in this initiative, financed by the EU through the H2020 Programme as part of INNOSUP-1-12015, with the participation of 13 partners from all over Europe and the aim of promoting intersectoral Innovation for SEMs from four different sectors: aerospace, agribusiness, food and health and ICT.
Tecnova CT Tecnova participates in this project led by the University of Wageningen (Netherlands) which, together with the participation of 72 partners, is framed within the topic IoT-01-2016 – Large Scale Pilots of H2020 in the Internet of Things (IoT) call. of the European Commission.
Approved by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the purpose of this Project is to promote socio-economic development in Sechura, a desert province located on the northwestern coast of Peru, through the design and development of a pilot facility for greenhouse production making use of the experience acquired by the Almeria model. This will show its high efficiency in optimising the use of natural resources (water, land and renewable energy, amongst others) and agricultural inputs (fertilisers and plant protection, amongst others), as well as the increase in yield levels, productivity and diversification of production. The Project, led by Tecnova TC, will be carried out in collaboration with the University of Almeria, through the Department of Engineering Projects, and the Community Foundation San Martin de Sechura, together with the Peruvian Company, LAL-Laos Aguilar.
The main objective of the ET-3D Project is to develop a revolutionary system for irrigation management, that allows implementation of a new algorithm for calculation of evapotranspiration with the aim of knowing with greater accuracy the most optimal moments for irrigation.
This initiative consists of transforming the production model of tomato into a branch since it will provide the sector with a cutting-edge and innovative technological solution: the collection and preparation of tomato bouquets in situ (in the greenhouse) using a mobile robotic system, supported by a smart production environment.
The GLOBALVITI project aims to position the national wine sector as a global benchmark in the search for and proposal of innovative and sustainable technical solutions and alternatives, in a context of climate change, both in relation to the integrated management of the vineyard and the processes of vinification applying emerging transversal technologies (IoT and Big data, Robotics, Biotechnology and Molecular Biology) that facilitate the digital transition of Spanish wineries.
PEPPERNATUR’s global objective, led by the company Agroponiente Natural Produce SL and in which CT Tecnova collaborates, is the design of a new biosystem for the production of a new range of ecological peppers of high nutraceutical value developed from the implementation of biotechnological, agronomic and post-harvest strategies in the different stages of the value chain based on clean technologies.
Tecnova actively collaborates with the entities Alhóndiga La Unión (project representative), Ingro Maquinaria, IDM, Novagric and CEBAS-CSIC in the Interconecta MORE-THAN-CLEAN project. With its execution, an integrated solution will be created from the field to the consumer based on automated sanitation strategies both in the field and in the product handling phase, which will reduce the incidence of fungal and bacterial diseases that cause the main losses of product quality at export level.
The R&D Project Interconnects NATURPICK proposes to provide the fortified food sector (bars, gels and powders) and jellies, with tools and ingredients in order to obtain healthier products, as well as endow the fruit and vegetable sector with a new line of business to give value to products that cannot be marketed.
The Tecnova Technological Center collaborates in this project framed in the H2020 call promoted by the European Union to promote the innovative potential of European SMEs by validating this project in its Experimental Center, in which it will evaluate the agronomic behavior of tomato and melon crops in a new greenhouse design developed by the Rufepa company in collaboration with the Israeli company SUNBOOST Ltd. with the aim of maximizing the energy efficiency of the greenhouse using photovoltaic technology.
