TECNOVA is The Foundation for Auxiliary Technologies for Agriculture, a business entity that agglutinates industry companies and auxiliary services of the Andalusian agriculture.

Only some decades ago, Almeria was the province with the lowest income in Spain. Today, is one of the regions with the highest growth index of the country, the greatest exporter of horticultural products of Europe and a point of reference for any developing region that wants to foster high yield agriculture.

As part of that development, an auxiliary industry has emerged, also with inedited characteristics and it is part of a global model of agricultural development.

TECNOVA consists of a great part of industries whose technologies have developed under the Almeria Agriculture model. Over 130 assembled companies are specialized in a wide range of activities. Apart from carrying out activities to promote the Almeria agricultural sector, with the goal of  increasing its development and  competitiveness, Tecnova constitutes itself as a joint nexus, which puts at the disposal of organizations, entities and companies of other parts of the world the Almeria agriculture know how, through the experience of its partners.

Because of these facts, the companies involved in this process constitute the TECNOVA Foundation that started with fourteen companies on January 9^th, 2001, when it was established in public deed and now it counts with one hundred companies of the Auxiliary Industry and Services of Agriculture.
